Founder of Legacy Retail Solutions, a boutique consulting firm, designed to help companies succeed in their global retail ambitions in both ecommerce and brick & mortar. Legacy supports clients with key retailers like Walmart, Target, Costco and Amazon around the world.

Mr. Lazenby has over twenty years of experience working in large organizations developing business with strategic accounts domestically and internationally. He is recognized for bringing creative solutions to complex business challenges by finding new solutions to known issues.

Early in his career, Mr. Lazenby learned how to transform processes and problems by finding powerful insights contained in data. These lessons formed the cornerstone for understanding the story information tells and leveraging it to empower and drive productivity and results.

Mr. Lazenby has direct experience across several business functions. His early roles focused on analytical support to the sales teams and key customers. He then moved into the supply chain organization, charged to leverage more sophisticated analytics to improve customer replenishment, integrated forecasting [S&OP] and a number of other transportation oriented challenges. From there, he took the experiences from analytical and supply chain roles to become one of the first account executives with a cross-functional background. This robust experience enabled him to transition onto the international side of the business where general management skills are required. International assignments have provided him the opportunity to translate his skills to develop international team members by infusing them with this data-driven approach.

Building this diverse experience in different companies, industries, and countries required Mr. Lazenby to develop the ability to rapidly learn different business models. While working with great leaders, he learned to quickly build relationships based on trust and value across numerous nationalities and professionals.

In addition to his corporate experience, Mr. Lazenby has been involved in the creation and strategic development of a number of companies. In some cases, like VisionChain, he united people and companies around the early vision he had to empower the customer teams supporting Walmart through data warehousing and power analytics. In other cases, like New Road Ventures PE company, he has been a strategic investor participating in both the company’s growth and overall development as a limited partner.

Outside of his career, Mr. Lazenby has identified areas in his community he could help strengthen. Desiring to inspire others to embrace data empowered thinking, he created a team to bring TEDx to Northwest Arkansas for the first time. Seeking to help develop the startup community, he became part of theARK Challenge startup incubator. In this role, he helped attract and mentor HiPo startups from around the world and attract funding for them. Recognizing the need to develop/expand funding opportunities in Northwest Arkansas, Mr. Lazenby co-founded and developed the NSAA [Natural State Angel Association]. The NSAA is designed to connect and educate founders/potential investors about startup investing and to facilitate these investments as a not-for-profit organization. As a natural extension of this he became a limited partner in the VC firm New Road Capital Partners, which is the largest PE firm in Arkansas.

Mr. Lazenby has been married to his wife, Staci, for nine years. Both graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. During college, Mr. Lazenby spent time in the UK and Russia while earning a degree in International Economics. His time in Russia was a transformational experience where he discovered his vision for an international career path. He also realized the impact entrepreneurs have in developing the emerging world. Mr. and Mrs. Lazenby reside in Northwest Arkansas where they enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

With this string of skills, technical knowledge, experience and an inspiring life, we are more than privileged to have him as a speaker at the Fourth Annual Cross Border Summit.
